Message of the moment:
Your reasoning is excellent -- it's only your basic assumptions that are wrong.
On 14 October 2000, Matthew O. Phinney and Jen Weier were married in Bozeman, MT, forming the Weier O'Phinney family.
Jen completed graduate studies in Counseling Psychology through the University of Akron. She worked as Associate Director of Counseling Services at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, during the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 school years, where she split her time between giving therapy to students, participating on the Eating Disorder Treatment Team, running a meditation group, supervising the Peers Educating Peers student group, and working on her dissertation. From 2003 through January, 2007, Jen worked at the Howard Center for Human Services in Burlington, VT, as a substance abuse counselor. In March of 2007, she took and passed her EPPP exam to become a licensed Psychologist in the state of Vermont.
Matthew has a degree in Religion from the University of Puget Sound, but now finds himself programming for the web. He has worked as a web developer and systems administrator since 2001, with stints at established companies, non-profit organizations, and as a freelancer. He currently works for Zend Technologies, Inc., "the PHP company", as a PHP developer, where he works on a variety of internal and external web systems, as well as develops for Zend Framework. You can read about his activities on his blog.
Maeve Rose O'Phinney is celebrated her 6th birthday last November, and enjoys reading, imaginative play, any sort of artistic craft, and swimming. She loves being a big sister to Liam, and wishes she were small enough to ride our basset hound, Cuervo.
Liam Patrick O'Phinney was born 20 August 2005 in Burlington; read about his birth on Matthew's blog. He is now a full-blown toddler, and likes to get out all his toys at once, climb onto furniture, and ride Cuervo.
